Job Title: GIS Application Administrator (Esri)

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced GIS Application Administrator to manage and enhance an enterprise GIS environment based on Esri ArcGIS Enterprise. You will support GIS-related projects throughout the application lifecycle, from analysis and testing to deployment, user training, and ongoing maintenance, while collaborating closely with GIS and IT teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain the ArcGIS Enterprise environment (Portal, Server, ArcGIS Pro).
• Manage user accounts, licenses, roles, and permissions.
• Support application enhancements, upgrades, and migration initiatives.
• Perform functional and acceptance testing of system changes.
• Create and maintain user documentation and technical guides.
• Advise GIS analysts and collaborate with IT on infrastructure changes.
• Participate in Agile sprints using Azure Boards or Jira.
• Provide day-to-day GIS application support and contribute to GIS-related projects.

Required Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of experience administering Esri ArcGIS Enterprise.
• At least 3 years of experience in functional application management.
• Strong experience with ArcMap, geodatabases, and application lifecycle management.
• Experience evaluating applications and defining maintenance or migration strategies.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and Azure Boards or Jira.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent Dutch (CEFR C2).

Nice to Have:

• Experience with FME, SQL Server, ITIL, and ICT infrastructure management.
• Knowledge of ArchiMate.
• Experience with GIS processes within the Flemish public sector.

Work Arrangement: 80% freelance assignment with 50% remote work available. Work location can be Willebroek, Hasselt, or Merelbeke.
