SAP BW/4HANA Consultant

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands
Start Date: 1 July 2026
Contract Duration: 5 Months

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP BW/4HANA Consultant to join a leading client in Amsterdam. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, maintenance, optimization, and support of SAP BW and SAP HANA environments, ensuring high-performance analytics and reporting solutions that support critical business processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and support SAP BW systems, including SAP maintenance activities such as security updates and implementation of SAP Hot Notes.
  • Design and develop SAP HANA Calculation Views, AMDPs, CDS Views, CompositeProviders, and star schema-based data models.
  • Build, enhance, and optimize SAP BW and SAP HANA data models.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve system performance and data processing efficiency.
  • Support and maintain data integration and data provisioning solutions, including SAP SLT.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and technical teams to deliver reporting, analytics, and planning solutions.
  • Participate in system enhancements, issue resolution, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Ensure adherence to SAP development standards and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 6–8 years of hands-on experience with SAP BW and SAP BW/4HANA.
  • Strong experience working with SAP BW on Oracle and SAP BW on HANA environments.
  • Proven expertise in developing:
    • SAP HANA Calculation Views
    • AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures)
    • CDS Views
    • CompositeProviders
    • InfoProviders and star schema cubes
  • Deep understanding of SAP HANA modeling concepts and techniques.
  • Strong experience in SAP HANA performance tuning and optimization.
  • Experience with data integration and data provisioning technologies, including SAP SLT.
  • Good knowledge of:
    • SAP BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation)
    • SAP Integrated Planning
    • OPEX and CAPEX planning processes
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in large enterprise SAP landscapes.
  • Exposure to BW/4HANA migration projects.
  • Knowledge of SAP Analytics and reporting solutions is an advantage.
