Senior Functional Analysis Advisor (Jira / Confluence) | Brussels, Belgium | 19-Month Contract

Location: Brussels, Belgium (1060)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Until December 2027 (19-month contract, full-time)

We're looking for an experienced Functional Analysis Advisor to join a dynamic Project Support Team, supporting IT development teams by driving best practices in functional analysis, modeling, testing, and collaboration tools.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior professional who enjoys mentoring teams, improving development processes, and working with modern collaboration platforms and AI-driven solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Advise and support IT development teams on functional analysis methodologies and best practices.
  • Manage and evolve Jira and Confluence, including user support, administration, technical features (APIs, macros), and process improvements.
  • Participate in cloud migration initiatives and evaluate alternative collaboration solutions.
  • Define and manage end-to-end functional testing strategies, including:
    • Test planning
    • Test case creation
    • Functional test execution
    • Test reporting
  • Support analysts with documentation, modeling, and testing tools.
  • Conduct quality reviews, audits, and ensure compliance with analysis standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve development processes and documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure tool and process interoperability.
  • Explore and promote the adoption of AI solutions within software development processes.

Required Experience

10+ years of experience in Functional Analysis or a similar role

Strong expertise with:

  • Jira
  • Confluence
  • Functional Analysis
  • Data Modeling
  • Agile & Scrum
  • Functional Testing & Test Design

Solid understanding of:

  • Requirements gathering
  • Object-Oriented development principles
  • Software development lifecycle
  • Testing methodologies

Experience with UML, BPMN, ArchiMate, or other modeling frameworks is considered a strong advantage.
