Team Lead Policy Servicing & Underwriting

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Team Lead to support the Policy Servicing and Underwriting team within a Group Life insurance environment. The role focuses on team coordination, operational excellence, KPI monitoring, internal controls, backlog reduction, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Policy Servicing and Underwriting team.
• Monitor team performance through KPIs and operational reporting.
• Execute and oversee internal controls and compliance activities.
• Develop and implement action plans to reduce backlogs and improve service levels.
• Coordinate weekly operational meetings and workload planning.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Collaborate closely with commercial, underwriting, and technical teams.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team efficiency and customer service.

Required Experience

• Experience leading operational teams within insurance, policy administration, underwriting, or customer service environments.
• Strong background in KPI management, reporting, and performance monitoring.
• Experience implementing process improvements and operational controls.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting regulatory deadlines.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred Knowledge

• Group Life insurance products.
• Coverage types including life, death, disability, and hospitalization.
• Employee benefits and taxation regulations.
• Knowledge of Sigedis processes.
• Experience with operational insurance systems and reporting tools.

• Dutch: Professional proficiency.
• French: Professional proficiency.
• English: Professional working proficiency.
