Application Developer – Intelligent Traffic Systems

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Application Developer to support the integration, optimization, and evolution of intelligent traffic management systems. The role combines software development, system integration, operational support, data analysis, and reporting to improve public transport priority management at traffic intersections.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the integration of new traffic intersections and traffic light controllers
  • Analyze and integrate MAPEM files describing intersection topologies
  • Validate compliance with ETSI standards and system interoperability
  • Configure and test communication between traffic management platforms, controllers, and external systems
  • Design, maintain, and optimize approach curves for public transport priority requests
  • Define arrival prediction parameters and optimize intersection responsiveness
  • Develop and enhance business applications using Node.js
  • Improve user interfaces, workflows, and configuration processes
  • Monitor and analyze system exchanges through RabbitMQ and Elasticsearch
  • Investigate and resolve production incidents
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Infrastructure teams, and external suppliers
  • Maintain technical and functional documentation
  • Develop reporting solutions and performance dashboards to improve operational efficiency and commercial speed

Required Profile

  • Expert knowledge of Node.js development
  • Strong experience with Git and modern development practices
  • Experience with DevOps environments, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker
  • Knowledge of RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, and distributed systems
  • Understanding of traffic management systems, intelligent transportation systems, or industrial integrations is an asset
  • Ability to analyze complex technical environments and troubleshoot issues
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of Symfony
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles
  • Familiarity with ETSI standards and intelligent transport system protocols
