Application Tester (Automation & Quality Assurance)

Location: Namur, Belgium (On-site)
Workload: 1 day per week (20%)
Language: French (C2)

Role Overview

We are looking for an Application Tester to support the validation and quality assurance of a modern web application used for hydrological data management. The role focuses on test strategy, automation, execution, reporting, and collaboration within an Agile development team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, execute, and maintain functional, integration, and regression test plans.
  • Develop and automate test scenarios using testing tools and frameworks.
  • Validate frontend graphical interfaces, backend services, and data integrations.
  • Contribute to the implementation and improvement of automated testing frameworks.
  • Create and maintain test documentation, test cases, and defect reports.
  • Monitor test execution and ensure traceability through Jira and Xray.
  • Produce test reports, dashboards, and quality metrics.
  • Collaborate closely with analysts, developers, and Agile team members to ensure software quality.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in application testing and quality assurance.
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience with test automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, SoapUI, and JMeter.
  • Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, JUnit, or similar.
  • Experience creating and maintaining test plans, test cases, and defect tracking.
  • Strong understanding of technical concepts and ability to communicate testing results clearly.
  • Experience with Jira and Xray.
  • Ability to create quality reports and dashboards.

Nice to Have

  • ISTQB certification.
  • Experience testing applications with graphical and interactive user interfaces.
  • Experience within Agile/Scrum teams involving analysts and developers.
  • Experience in the public sector.
  • Experience contributing to automated test framework development.
