About the Role

We are looking for a skilled CAD Drafter to support engineering and technical design activities within a highly regulated industrial environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining technical drawings, electrical schematics, instrumentation layouts, and construction documentation while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

This role offers the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects involving electrical systems, automation, instrumentation, and industrial installations.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and execute design assignments for new installations and modifications
Gather and verify technical information required for engineering and drafting activities
Review sketches, design concepts, and technical specifications
Perform site measurements and surveys when required
Produce technical drawings and designs using specialized CAD software from concept through to as-built documentation
Create electrical schematics, P&IDs, building plans, cable routing plans, and installation drawings
Perform engineering calculations, including cable sizing and strength calculations
Select suitable materials and components while considering technical, safety, operational, and cost requirements
Maintain drawing databases and ensure document version control
Track and manage drawing revisions throughout the entire project lifecycle
Support the preparation of technical specifications and ensure compliance during the design phase
Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams and external contractors
Prepare tender documentation, technical specifications, and requests for quotations
Compile technical construction dossiers and project documentation
Respond to technical queries from suppliers and project stakeholders
Prepare or review CE, MOC, and construction dossiers

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Design & Drafting

Strong experience with AutoCAD
Experience with EPLAN
Experience with Caneco
Advanced knowledge of technical drawing software

Electrical Engineering

Knowledge of electrical installations and systems
Understanding of instrumentation and measurement systems
Knowledge of automation hardware
Familiarity with electrical calculations and component selection

Standards & Compliance

Knowledge of AREI regulations
BA4 certification or equivalent electrical safety qualification
Understanding of industrial safety requirements
Knowledge of conventional and industrial safety standards

Networking & Communications

Knowledge of fiber optics and data communication systems

Documentation

Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation, drawings, and engineering records

Preferred Experience

Experience working in industrial, energy, infrastructure, chemical, process, or highly regulated environments
Experience preparing technical dossiers and construction documentation
Familiarity with change management and engineering documentation processes
Experience supporting multidisciplinary engineering projects

Language Requirements

Dutch – Native or Bilingual Proficiency
